what started out as an idea offering beautiful, unique and predominately white homewares, has since evolved into an ever changing lifestyle store which offers a selection of curated homewares, cushions, rugs, furniture and art as well as an interesting collection of clothing and jewellery.
fran, began "the white place" after a summer family holiday in greece in 2009. inspired by the stunning santorini landscape and the classic white and blue colour palette, soon after returning the white place opened.
in 2015 alex, fran’s eldest daughter, decided to make the move to orange and work full time on the white place and leaving behind her career in financial services.
alex settled into her new life in orange, meeting her now husband johnny and together they continue to evolve the white place brand.
“the white place lifestyle and events” was born in 2018 and now encompasses more than a store front.
you can now stay with the white place in central orange with a choice of self-contained accommodation locations on byng st and casey st and until july 2023 also had an events company which included hire, design and registry.
the white place lifestyle and events is a family run business and we aim to inspire.
