Ilala Zulu South African Basket

Scattered on Kwazulu Natal undulating hills, there is a hive of industry where many women engage in the craft of basket making. They have transformed the traditional art form into a means of support and income.A medium-sized basket might take up to a month to make because each one is handmade and completely unique.Ilala palm and ncebe are used to make baskets (wild banana bark) and used in ceremonies, the ukhamba basket is customarily utilised.

All orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order. Orders are dispatched daily from our head quarters in Orange and we work really hard to have orders dispatched ASAP.

We use a combination of Australia Post and Couriers to deliver. Postage is calculated based upon the weight of products. Our preferred method of delivery is Courier, for speed and reduced risk of breakage.

We offer free shipping on full priced clothing and shoes but when on sale the flat fee is $10.

At the checkout you will have an option to select, standard or express post and the amount will then be shown. With an express service we ensure speed of service is accelerated for urgent purchases. In addition, you can select "pick up in store" or "local delivery" and we will not charge you.
